Called into action to replace an injured Brock Purdy today, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brandon Allen was spotted wearing a mysterious wrap of some sort on his left middle finger before Sunday’s game against the Packers.

Brandon Allen was a three-year starter at Arkansas and led the Razorbacks to bowl victories in his redshirt junior and senior seasons. Former Wisconsin Badgers head coach Bret Bielema coached Allen in the quarterback's final three years at Arkansas.
