A 53-year-old Boston man has been charged after allegedly attacking a transgender woman on an MBTA train. Gregory Burnett is facing several assault charges and a civil rights violation stemming from an incident at the Maverick MBTA station on Halloween.

Gregory Burnett, 53, allegedly said statements including “you’re not a woman, you’re a man," and caused her to fracture her wrist.

The victim reported being punched and kicked while the suspect, Gregory Burnett, allegedly screamed derogatory terms at her such as “you’re not a woman, you’re a man."
