Grimmway Farms is the California-based produce company at the center of an ongoing carrot recall that's connected to a nationwide E. coli outbreak.

An E. coli outbreak linked to bagged organic carrots has prompted an expanded recall as the number of cases grows. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 39 people across 18 states have been sickened.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and public health officials are investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli linked to multiple brands of recalled organic whole bagged carrots and baby carrots sold by Grimmway Farms.
