Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from Wadala, Shraddha Jadhav on Saturday expressed confidence in the victory of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and saying that their victory is certain. She asserted that the Maha Vikas Aghadi will form the government in the state.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) gathered letters of support from over 160 candidates, including independents, for forming the government. The counting for the 288-member assembly elections began on Saturday.

Both Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the Mahayuti alliance parties have claimed that an increase in voter turnout in the state will work in their favor in the elections. Exit polls from various channels suggest that the Mabhayuti alliance (BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP) is likely to secure the majority of seats and may form the government in Maharashtra.

The ruling Mahayuti was leading in 41 of the 58 Assembly seats in western Maharashtra, early trends suggested.
