An area of low pressure that developed off the New Jersey coastline moved inland across Upstate New York the last 24 hours and eventually dropped down across eastern Pennsylvania. This low pressure combined with a broad low pressure aloft which generated enough cold air to lead to snow across much of the region throughout Friday.
