Optimism was high for a do-over for Rodgers, despite again thinking about life outside of football when he pondered being Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s vice presidential nominee for the 2024 election. While Rodgers is still preaching hope for this season with seven games left, many in Gang Green don't see much light.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Three of the New York Jets’ team leaders addressed the media on Wednesday. Most notably, quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed whether he plans to keep playing in 2025, saying, “I think so, yeah,” when asked if he still wants to play beyond the 2024 season.

More recently, the team traded for six-time Pro Bowler Davante Adams, another old friend who's still skilled, but past his prime. This was after firing head coach Robert Saleh and demoting Hackett, moves that clubs typically make once they're out of playoff contention. The Jets, though, hoped that these moves would create a spark.
