Heavy smoke was visible Friday from a brush fire burning in Smithfield. The town said on Facebook the fire was on Douglas Pike between Salem Street and Decotis Farm Road. It urged drivers to avoid the area. A still image of the smoke coming from the fire was shared by NBC 10 News viewer through Chime in. A brush fire was also reported in Attleboro.
