In a recent interview, Ashley McBryde talked about her Kris Kristofferson tribute at the CMA Awards and what his writing meant to her.

Ashley McBryde paid tribute to the late Kris Kristofferson with a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night" at the 2024 CMA Awards. Accompanying herself on acoustic guitar,

McBryde wrote her latest release, "Ain't Enough Cowboy Songs," out of a sense of longing to get back to simpler times. That nostalgia is something she shared with her co-writers on the track, Chris Harris and Patrick Savage.

"I've been singing ("Help Me Make It Through The Night") since I was a child, so there was no chance that I would forget a chord or a word," she said.

Ashley McBryde will be one of the many performers to take the 2024 CMA Awards stage Wednesday night (Nov. 20), but she's keeping details of her performance close to her chest. Ahead of the show (ABC, 8PM ET), Taste of Country caught up with McBryde, who gave a little more insight to what fans can expect from her appearance.

Ashley McBryde honored late music legend Kris Kristofferson when she took the Bridgestone Arena stage at the 58th CMA Awards on Wednesday evening (November 20) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. McBryde performed a moving rendition of Kristofferson’s 1970 ballad,
