( MENAFN - IANS) Hyderabad, Sep 17 (IANS) Immersion of Ganesh idols began in Hyderabad amid tight security by Police and elaborate arrangements by civic authorities. More than 25,000 police personnel have been deployed for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the annual festival.

Hyderabad: As Ganesha idols headed for immersion after 10 days of elaborate pujas, most people stayed indoors, making the city’s thoroughfares relatively easier places to navigate.Most

As per the planned schedule, the immersion was done from crane No.4 installed at NTR Marg, within a record time of 10 minutes.

On the eve of Ganesh immersions, thousands of devotees filled streets leading to Hussainsagar and other lakes with over 500 idols. Despite humidity and drizzle, processions featured music and dance. Authorities expect larger crowds on the final day and have prepared safety measures to manage the event smoothly.
