A civil jury in Ireland has awarded more than $250,000 to a woman who says she was raped by mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor in a Dublin hotel penthouse after a night of heavy partying.

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor has been found liable for a 2018 sexual assault in a civil lawsuit in Ireland.

Conor McGregor has been ordered to pay a woman more than $250,000 after a civil jury in Dublin, Ireland, found the MMA fighter liable for sexual assault.

McGregor denied the allegations, testifying that he never forced the woman to do anything against her will, per the AP.

A civil suit filed in Ireland alleged that McGregor had sex with a woman without her consent in 2018 in Dublin. McGregor says he will appeal.

Conor McGregor has lost his sexual assault civil case in Dublin. A High Court jury awarded damages of €248,603.60 ($259,149.36) to Nikita Hand against McGregor on Friday after ruling that she was sexually assaulted by the former UFC champion in a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
