Charlotte football just couldn’t keep up. The 49ers battled early in their 52-14 loss to Indiana on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington. Their running backs were pounding the rock against the Hoosiers, whose defense ranks among the top half of teams in the Big Ten Conference.

Coming off a Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week nod against UCLA, quarterback Kurtis Rourke led another dominant performance for the Indiana offense, which totaled 510 yards in a blowout win over Charlotte.

The Hoosiers improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2020 with a 52-14 win over Charlotte. The offense continued to look unstoppable as the team set a program record for most points scored in a four-game stretch. It was also the first time since 2019 the offense had more than 400 yards of total offense in four straight games.
