Jodi Rell, Connecticut's second female governor, dies at 78
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Former Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell, who became the state's second female governor when John Rowland resigned amid a corruption scandal, has died. She was 78. Rell died Wednesday following a brief illness at a Florida hospital, her family said in a statement released Thursday morning. Her husband died of cancer in 2014.
