Bollywood actor, politician, and BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, on Sunday (24 November 2024) launched a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, calling him a ‘daitya’ (monster) who “suffered this fate because he had disrespected women.”

As the Mahayuti sweeps the 2024 general assembly elections in Maharashtra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut lashed out at Shiv Sena (UBT) and ther Aghadi alliance, accusing them of "disrespecting women" and labelling them as a "daitya (monsters).

While speaking to reporters in Delhi, Ranaut said that she had anticipated Thackeray's loss in the Maharashtra polls.

Linking the opposition alliance with ‘daitya’, Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kanagana Ranaut said that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a defeat because it had disrespected women.

A day after the Mahayuti alliance trounced the MVA in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut on Sunday likened the oppositions alliance with daitya and said it suffered this fate because it had disrespected women.

Kangana Ranaut praised Prime Minister Modi's leadership after BJP's Mahayuti alliance won the Maharashtra Assembly polls, defeating the Congress-led MVA. She lauded Modi for being 'invincible' and attributed the victory to a preference for development and stability.

She also congratulated Modi for the Mahayuti's electoral success and said the BJP high command would decide Maharashtra's next chief minister.

Following the BJP's resounding victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections, BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut attributed the Maha Vikas Aghadi's defeat to their alleged disrespect towards women, citing the 2020 demolition of her bungalow as evidence.
