President-elect Donald Trump has named Russell Vought, a Project 2025 co-author and former director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to resume the role in his second term. Trump praised Vought as a cost-cutter focused on dismantling the “Deep State” and advancing an “America First Agenda.”

Matt Gaetz has withdrawn from consideration as attorney general and was replaced by Pam Bondi, as Trump plans to make RFK Jr. his secretary of health and human services and Pete Hegseth his defense secretary,
