One of the RPG’s big decisions can change your party, but some fans are holding out hope not all is as it seems

Companions are an integral part of every Bioware RPG, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no exception. Similar to previous entries in the series, the game lets you befriend, romance, and fight alongside your companions as you progress through the story.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard brings seven wonderful companions for Rook to get to know and fight alongside, and while they are all interesting in their own right, some are just a tad more complex than others. This article will focus more on the characters themselves, with what they offer gameplay-wise being secondary.

The Veilguard is awkwardly in conflict with itself, torn into pieces that reflect a sequel to a decade-old RPG and a fresh beginning with no ties to what came before.
