King Charles and Queen Camilla have plans to expand their family at Buckingham Palace. As the British monarch made a solo appearance on Friday, Nov. 22 at this year’s Royal Variety Performance amidst his wife’s lingering health issues, he casually mentioned that he and Camilla are planning on getting a new dog, per Express.co.uk.

Buckingham Palace has released a statement from the King thanking the talented performers at the Royal Variety Performance in London's Royal Albert Hall on Friday evening. King Charles attended the performance alone as Queen Camilla was forced to withdraw due to ongoing health concerns.

Queen Camilla has several grandchildren who have grown up with King Charles III as a step-grandparent, and they aren't that impressed with his royal title.
