Chris Stapleton took home four Country Music Association Awards and hardly left the stage on Wednesday night, while an absent Morgan Wallen won the night's biggest prize, entertainer of the year.

The night's most vaunted honor, Entertainer of the Year, went to Morgan Wallen. The artist behind hits like "Last Night" and Post Malone duet "I Had Some Help" has posted huge record sales totals and has been dominant on the charts.

Singer Chris Stapleton won three prizes, including male vocalist of the year, at the annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in Nashville on Wednesday. However, the biggest award of the night, entertainer of the year, went to fellow superstar Morgan Wallen.
