Four key ministers in the JMM-led Hemant Soren government faced crushing defeat in Jharkhand assembly polls despite a stellar performance by the coalition which retained power for the second consecutive term.

INDIA bloc has crossed the half-century mark in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections, with JMM's Hemant Soren leading in his Barhait constituency. However, his wife, Kalpana Soren, is trailing in Gandey.

Jharkhand’s JMM, led by Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren, is on track for a second consecutive term as part of the INDIA bloc. Kalpana entered politics earlier this year after Hemant Soren faced legal challenges.
