Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has launched a scathing attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray after the Maha Vikas Aghadi's (MVA) massive defeat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Days after the Maharashtra Assembly Election Results, Kangana Ranaut has compared MVA to a 'demon' and has also given the reason behind their loss.

As the Mahayuti sweeps the 2024 general assembly elections in Maharashtra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut slammed the Shiv Sena (UBT) and its Aghadi coalition, accusing them of "disrespecting women" and calling them "daitya (monsters).

The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance appeared set to retain power in the state and was leading in 204 of the 288 assembly seats, as per the latest figures by the Election Commission.

Kangana Ranaut praised Prime Minister Modi's leadership after BJP's Mahayuti alliance won the Maharashtra Assembly polls, defeating the Congress-led MVA. She lauded Modi for being 'invincible' and attributed the victory to a preference for development and stability.

While speaking to reporters in Delhi, Ranaut said that she had anticipated Thackeray's loss in the Maharashtra polls.
