Miles Hastings threw three touchdown passes for UC Davis, but it was Lan Larinson's 59-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter that helped the Aggies hold off Sacramento State 42-39 in the 70th Causeway Classic on Saturday.

This is the second consecutive year that UCD (7-1 in the Big Sky, 10-2 overall) beat Sacramento State (1-7 in the Big Sky, 3-9). The Aggies took the sting out of the Hornets 31-21 in the 2023 regular season game at UC Davis Health Stadium.

SACRAMENTO — The Sacramento State Hornets will host the UC Davis Aggies for the 70th Causeway Classic on Saturday. Though this is being billed as the 70th Causeway Classic, this will actually be the 71st all-time meeting between the two college football teams. They also faced each other in the 1988 postseason.
